Band 5 Assistant Performance and Operations Manager - Outpatients

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Assistant Performance and Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the Outpatient Services at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Your day to day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • To act as line manager to the outpatient booking co-ordinators, receptionists and clinic prep department.
  • To utilise problem-solving and analytical skills to co-ordinate all outpatient bookings, in accordance with agreed guidelines and processes, ensuring the efficient use of clinic capacity.
  • To attend Divisional outpatient meetings and ensure that tasks identified as a result are completed.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Admin Team including staff discipline, absence and sickness monitoring, Individual Development and Performance Reviews, training and Health and Safety issues.
  • To work closely with the Performance & Operations Manager on all aspects of outpatient performance management and administration.
  • This post is permanent and would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to expand their knowledge and experience in managing and leading the administrative teams in a demanding and rewarding environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate to key stakeholders
  • Have previous experience in administration roles within a healthcare setting
  • Ideally have previous experience working in an NHS setting although this is not essential
  • Have a flexible working approach
