Would you like to lead, transform and develop the pharmacy and medicines related digital and informatics agenda within a digitally mature, innovative, supportive pharmacy department and Trust?

This is an really exciting time to join Whittington Health as we work with System C as a development partner to develop a new electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) and Closed Loop Medicines Administration Solution (CLMA) for an Integrated Care Organisation in keeping with the Trusts Digital Agenda as a Fast Follower site.

Whittington Pharmacy Department is looking for an ambitious, forward thinking and dynamic pharmacist to lead with the support of a team, on all aspects of medicines related digital services within the department and across the wider Trust

You will lead, direct and manage the development and delivery of a Pharmacy Informatics service to take account of national strategies, national programmes and the national Informatics service.

You will support the Chief Pharmacist in the development and implementation of the IT aspects of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy and in leading on the ongoing digitisation of Pharmacy processes: analysing business requirements, supporting development of business cases, leading procurement, planning implementation, and ensuring service and business benefits are realised.

You will ensure the development, maintenance and delivery of an agreed programme of training to medical, nursing, pharmacy and associated staff to use our existing EPMA system in a safe manner, optimising all aspects of the system.

You will support the department to deliver its clinical pharmacy service efficiently and effectively across the trust, supporting through digital means a risk based approach to clinical pharmacy service provision including services within the Community setting.

You will act as a Digital Pharmacy Ambassador for the trust, and as a senior role model at all times .

You will ensure that Quality Improvement is integral within digital pharmacy services and informatics development and actively promote a research culture within the department.
