We are looking for a Deputy Clinical Manager & Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work alongside the current Clinical Manager and Service Manager at Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, caring applicant to become part of our friendly and fun team in the lovely facilities at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Lymington Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to come and work in a busy, dynamic environment where the focus is on teamwork providing excellent and efficient care to our local community by offering an alternative health care choice and reducing pressures on local Emergency departments.

The Urgent Treatment Centre has approximately 20,000 attendances a year, both adults and children, and we are proud of the service that we provide to our local community.

The successful applicant should have some experience working as an autonomous practitioner either in the Emergency Department or an urgent care setting and ideally Primary Care experience, but other applicants may be considered on experience. They will be motivated to inspire, motivate and lead a clinical team. The role will be ideal for gaining clinical management and leadership experience but training and support will be given.

We provide an attractive rate of pay dependent upon experience and would want this individual to work evenings and weekends which attracts enhanced rates of pay

Essential

  • Registered with NMC or HCPC
  • Experience working in a primary care and /or urgent care setting
  • At least five years post qualified clinical experience
  • At or working towards Masters qualification / or equivalent experience demonstrating advanced clinical practice
  • Leadership and management experience in a clinical setting
  • You must be competent at taking a clinical history, excluding red flags and able to undertake a physical examination of the patient for patients presenting with undifferentiated conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal (Particularly listening skills)
  • Clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute Primary care presentations of minor illness and injury
  • Be able to clear an enhanced DBS check
  • Must be authorised to work in the EEC

Desirable

  • A&E, Urgent Care Setting experience
  • Qualified non medical prescriber.
  • Minor illness & Minor Injury qualification or similar
  • Interpretation of lab results training
  • IRMER trained
  • Teaching and/or Mentorship qualification
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Leadership and Management qualification
  • Leadership and Management experience
