An exciting opportunity has recently arisen for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Dentist to join the expanding team within the Solent NHS Special Care Dental Services. This post is to support delivery of our community and specialist dental services working out of our Eastney, Somerstown and Poswillo clinics.

You will be an experienced and dedicated Specialist with the clinical, communication and managerial skills necessary to inspire confidence and generate commitment and support from the dental team. You will join a motivated, multi-professional team, dedicated to providing high quality dental care and improving the patient experience.

Solent NHS Trust, Special Care Dental Service provides comprehensive dental care for children and adults with special needs, and for other priority groups, across Hampshire.

We have a vacancy for a Band C salaried clinician, treatment and care will be within the competencies of a Band C dentist as defined in the National Terms and Conditions of Service.

You will lead the dental teams, providing specialist advice, treatment and guidance on dental care of children, with a range of complex medical co-morbidities, learning difficulties, patient management issues, and complex dental needs.

You will be registered with the GDC, and be on the Specialist list for Paediatric Dentistry. You will require a Performer Number to work within NHS Primary Care Dentistry, hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. The posts will require the relevant disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
