Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our national team as Project Support at the Ambulance Radio Programme, working with the Mobile Date & Vehicle Solutions Team. The Project Support Officer sits within the delivery of the MDVS Programme. The Project Support Officer works with the Head of Programmes, Head of Delivery, and MDVS Project Managers on supporting delivery, ensuring high levels of governance and appropriate standards and processes are in place. This is aided by providing necessary guidance support in accordance with the PMO Office. This role will be vital in supporting and assisting the MDVS Project/Programme Managers. The post holder will be line managed by the Head of Delivery.



Duties/Key Deliverables include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Project Support across other areas of the ARP programme as required
  • Provide high quality project and administrative support to the MDVS Programme and Project Team.
  • First point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for enquires relating to the Head of Programmes and you will be expected to screen and resolve queries where appropriate.
  • Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
  • Issue any relevant progress reports to the Project or Programme Manager.
  • Action incoming mail and outgoing correspondence as appropriate, using discretion to ensure that only appropriate work is referred to the MDVS Project Manager and the Project Team.
  • The post holder will be expected to work closely with the MDVS Project providing support at the same time as managing their own workload, prioritising tasks and taking full responsibility for working independently and flexibly as part of the MDVS team.
  • Supporting to managing Risks and Issues, dependencies, benefits, project budget tracking, milestones and project plans
  • Arranging necessary pre meetings with the relevant Chair/SRO, project and programme managers and liaison with speakers /attendees
  • The post holder will be responsible for collating data and information from a range of sources and compiling into consistent formats
  • Attending Implementation meetings and other contract related meetings
  • Support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams and all departments across ARP where applicable
  • The post holder will be required to create summary reports for Senior Team which require the analysis and interpretation of data, as well as recommended actions derived from the analysis with full justification to support.
  • Undertake any other administrative tasks as specified by the Project Team
  • Working as a team player, to assist Programme Managers and Project Managers in the smooth running of the CRS and MDVS programme providing secretarial support where needed




  • 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English Language or equivalent.
  • Able to meet the requirements of the Knowledge and Skills Framework for their role.
  • PRINCE 2 qualified
  • Proven administrative experience.
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining office systems and procedures that support the smooth running of an office environment.
  • Experience of diary management.
  • Previous experience as a personal assistant


  • RSA III Typing Qualification or equivalent
  • NVQ 2/3 Business Administration
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Minimum 5 years’ experience
