Care Organisation specific information – Four Care Organisations (Oldham, Bury/Rochdale, North Manchester and Salford) have been created who provide local leadership with the aim to build strong relationships with the local social care and health providers. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection in October/November 2017 found the Medical Service at Fairfield General Hospital has improved by two ratings to outstanding. This rates the medical services at Fairfield General Hospital to be one of the best in Greater Manchester and amongst the best in the country. As a site, Fairfield General Hospital is now rated as Good.

Department and Job Role

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Bed Management Support Team Administrator to join our busy and dynamic site team. The post holder will be expected to :

  1. Collate accurate and timely data/reports and statistical information from the Bury and Rochdale CO and distribute relevant data.
  2. Have a clear understanding of what information is collated and why and an ability to identify and retrieve the right information when requested.
  3. Regularly update NWAS website with timely accurate information relating to the Bury and Rochdale CO.
  4. Actively arrange GP diverts when deemed necessary by the Bed Management Team as per the authorised protocols and policies. Ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  5. Be responsible for the timely reporting of 8 hour Trolley Waits, ensuring the correct procedure is followed as outlined in the relevant protocol.
  6. Be responsible for the timely distribution of Critical Care stepdown report as outlined in the relevant protocol.
  7. Contribute towards maintenance of the Trust live bed management information system.

Team/Departmental Information

The successful candidates will work alongside the bed management team at Fairfield General Hospital in ensuring safe patient flow across the site. Currently there is significant work taking place on site which will transform the current model of patient flow and determine where the team are based on site.
