Join our Children’s Continuing and Complex Care Service and the Community Outreach Nursing Service and make a difference within the heart of our community.

We seek a talented, enthusiastic and motivated nurse to take up the post of Matron to provide visible cohesive clinical leadership to the Children’s Continuing and Complex Care Service and the Community Outreach Nursing Service.  The post holder will hold responsibility for the delivery of safe, effective high quality care across the areas.

You will work in collaboration with all professionals across organisational boundaries including commissioners, Paediatricians, GP practices and specialists from tertiary centres.

You must be an experienced nurse, with excellent leadership skills to motivate and lead the teams in your portfolio. You should demonstrate excellent communication and the ability to manage conflicting demands. The role involves taking a lead on clinical service development and innovation following National Guidelines.

All new starters with the Trust will be subject to a six month probationary period, with the exception of medical and dental candidates.

Current employees should be aware that this position is advertised as a GWH position and appointment ends any TUPE protection.

All candidates are required to pay for their own DBS check where applicable. Standard DBS check costs £26 and will be recovered from your first pay; Enhanced DBS check costs £44 and will be split and recovered over the first 2 pay.

Bank posts requiring a DBS check; payment must be made prior to commencing.

Apprentices are exempt from payment.
