Is Renal Dietetics for you? We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative dietitian for 22.5 hours per week to work in our specialist renal team in beautiful Dorset.  Covering all areas of renal dietetics your work will be fully embedded within the renal MDT, supported by four Renal Specialist Dietitians and the wider Dietetic Department of Dorset County Hospital. 

A varied job with patients at dialysis units and clinics around Dorset and South Somerset as well as inpatients in Dorchester. Applicants must therefore be able to meet the travel requirements of this post 

You will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients and their family or carers as well as other health professionals. Regular reviews and support from your line manager will help you develop your skills and training needs. This post requires specialist knowledge and skills but fast-track training for someone with interest and ability but little renal experience may be considered, depending on the applications received. Dorset County Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department provides acute, community and renal specialist services from our base at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester and you will have easy access for peer and senior support. You will also build professional relationships with your non-Dietetic colleagues in the renal service.  The Department encourages CPD and benefits from good relationships with neighbouring Dietetic Teams, with twice-yearly Dorset-wide Dietetic CPD sessions in addition to monthly Departmental sessions.
