A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to join the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust’s (SCFT) Medicines Management team. You will be instrumental in influencing and developing our Medicines Optimisation vision for the future including our clinical pharmacy service. We are looking for a highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist with people management experience and a good understanding of continuous quality improvements. You should have previous experience of working with patients with complex health needs and an ability to interact with a range of healthcare professionals at different levels.

 

You should preferably hold a prescribing qualification and be the Non-Medical Prescribing Lead for the Trust. You will be responsible for ensuring medicines management governance arrangements are maintained, and identifying areas for further improvement. You will be able to lead various projects related to medicines optimisation - we encourage staff to develop any special interests.

 

You will be responsible for coordinating a quality clinical pharmacy service with a strong focus on patient safety. You will line manage pharmacy staff including Senior Clinical Pharmacists in the fields of Child Development Services, MSK, Responsive Services and Primary Care. The post is based at Brighton General Hospital and the post holder will be expected to be able to travel across the Trust.

 

We are looking for a clinically experienced Pharmacist with strong clinical and interpersonal skills and the drive to develop both staff and the clinical pharmacy services. They will be patient-focused and proactive, and contribute towards providing a high quality pharmacy service to all our patients and staff. This exciting role requires an organised, flexible individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively and have good judgement to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
