Do you want to be part of a multidisciplinary team and support the band 7s develop integrated pathways? As part of the Childrens Physiotherapy Department in Newham, you can make a difference! We are a small team of dedicated and experienced physiotherapists, who are committed to continuous improvement to ensure the best possible support and outcomes for the children and young people known to our service. We have a strong culture of service and quality improvement, which is supported by regular in-service training and supervision. This post provides opportunity to develop both clinical skills and develop special areas of interest within a supportive team of therapists. The Clinical caseload will include:Cerebral palsyNeurological conditionsMusculoskeletal conditionsEx-premature infantsOrthopaedics -including clubfoot ( CTEV) Children are seen in a variety of settings including clinic, mainstream and resourced schools, nurseries and the childs home. Working alongside experienced band 7, band 6 and PTA staff you will be given opportunities to provide:clinical supervision of a Physiotherapy assistance clinical education for studentssupport the development of clinical pathways Manage a clinical workload with support of a band 7 Our service is based at the West Ham Lane Child Development Centre, near Stratford and the Olympic park - an exciting, diverse and vibrant borough, located only 3 miles from the City of London. We have developed exciting joint working opportunities with OTs and SLTs and have many MDT pathways in place. In addition there will be opportunities for you to work alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team including paediatricians in specialist clinics.
