Our Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are merging, bringing six organisations together to create a single, strategic commissioner. We have strong connections to our local places and neighbourhoods through our Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs) and Primary Care Networks (PCNs).

The newly merged CCG will provide a strong commissioning voice for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, supporting delivery of the local response to the NHS long term plan.

We are recruiting two Mental Health Commissioning Manager posts into our new Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Services Commissioning Team in the CCG.

The Long Term Plan and Mental Health Implementation Plan outlines the most ambitious transformation of mental health care England has ever known and successful applicants will be at the forefront of driving the delivery of our plans locally. The post holders will be passionate about improving mental health services and will lead on specific portfolios of work within the team, contributing to the overall strategic planning and commissioning of safe, high quality mental health services that will deliver improvements in mental health, address health inequalities and improve mental health services and patient outcomes.  They will provide expertise and innovative solutions, developing approaches to help the CCG meet its national and local targets.

The post holders will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of building strong relationships across organisations. We invite applications from enthusiastic candidates wanting to make a positive difference and with relevant and/or transferable skills and experience, the values and ambitions of the NHS including the commitment to improve quality and outcomes for our patients.

Please note that one of the posts will support Urgent and Crisis Mental Health Pathway commissioning and one post will support the commissioning of Community Mental Health Services for adults and older adults.

An induction and Personal Development Plan will be available to the successful candidates.
