An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified staff nurse to work in the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) teams in West Sussex, offering support to children, young people and their families.

The posts will be in the West of the County ( Arundal and Bognor ) and in Mid Sussex ( Hassocks /Crawley )

We are looking for an individual who has a strong interest in public health, early intervention, teaching and safeguarding who is an effective communicator and team player.

You will be working as part of a 5-19 School Nursing team

We offer a full induction programme, and a mentor to support your probation period. The service offers robust clinical supervision and Staff development forums.

You will work closely with the 13 HCP 0-5 teams across West Sussex and in partnership with schools, children & family centre’s, GPs, and the voluntary sector.

As one of the top 10 NHS Community employers, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust offers excellent support to staff, including training opportunities; for instance, gaining experience prior to applying for the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse course (Health Visitor or School Nurse) at one of our partner universities.

A high degree of flexibility and the ability to work independently are required; applicants must have a valid driving license and car available for work.
