An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Nurse to join a dynamic and forward thinking team.The post holder will assess health needs, and direct resources to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children and young people.

The successful candidate will have the ability to develop the Nursing role, and be creative in the service delivery to reach hard to engage young people. The post will provide the candidate with excellent experiences and allow for continued professional development.

We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and skill mix:

Experienced Nurse withspecific trainingin the care ofchildren and youngpeople, and preferablypart 3 as Specialist Community Public Health Nurse

A minimum of 3 years post registration experience with 2 years working with children, young people and families within the community setting

Enthusiastic and committed to providing high levels of nursing support and interventionto Looked After Children within the community

Have completed specific post registration training and experience relevant to Looked After Children

Have a keen interest and knowledge base regardingvulnerablechildren and young peopleand becommittedtolearning andprofessional developmentandenhancing theLookedAfter Children’s HealthTeam in Sheffield.

Be highly motivated, dynamic and adaptable with good organisational and time managementskills

Able to work autonomously and as part of wider team support around the child/young person

If a DBS check is required for the post you are applying for any offer of employment will be provisional on a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
