We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and committed nurse with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to work with the paediatric urology nurse specialist team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The role of the paediatric urology nurse is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team providing nursing experience and professional leadership within the patient and community setting. This involves the treatment and management of children within the group of paediatric urology.

The post holder will work with the nurse specialist, as a point of contact for service users and providers within the southwest region and contribute to the management of the patient group. The role will include running nurse led clinics alongside the clinical nurse specialist. These clinics include Urodynamic/Uro-flow/Biofeedback, PTNS and LUTs.

The post holder will need the ability to teach children, their carers and other healthcare professionals clean intermittent catheterisation which is critical to this post.

Any successful candidates will receive a programme of training of all the above.

A car driver /owner is desirable, a number of these children within the group will need support out in the community setting.
