Part time 22.5 hours. Temporary 1/3/20 to 1/3/21. Opportunity for secondment for internal applicants.

Are you looking to progress your career and develop advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills in a friendly and forward thinking department that offers great CPD opportunities?

We are looking for a therapist with advanced communication skills and clinical experience in working with clients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders to join our team. Our team works across Hull and East Yorkshire providing adult speech and language therapy across a number of community settings including community inpatient units, specialist multi disciplinary stroke services, community clinics and domiciliary visits. This post is based within our Hull Community Rehabilitation team and offers the opportunity to work with clients with a range of neurological conditions including Head Injury, Dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease. You will support the team lead and operational manager in managing the team’s waiting lists, caseloads and meeting key performance indicators for the service. Ideally, you will have experience and an interest in alternative augmentative communication systems and be able to help support this clinical area in the department.

We are fully committed to staff development and a robust supervision and appraisal framework in place. Staff are supported in accessing external training and have been involved in research and service development projects. Staff are also provided with the necessary information technology to enable flexible and mobile working.
