The Role;

As a Planner you will be assisting SCAS Patient transport services (PTS) in providing a vital service to our Patients by efficiently allocating patient transport vehicles to patients according to geographical area to ensure that SCAS can deliver the requested patient journeys with the assistance of our automated systems.

This is an exciting development for PTS and we are looking for a motivated, logical thinking, enthusiastic person to join the planning team.

If you have the following abilities / attributes:

Geographical Knowledge of Hampshire and Thames Valley areas

The ability to problem solve

The ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures

Excellent communication skills, you will be liaising with various Health Service Colleagues, Volunteer Car Drivers and Providers acting on behalf of SCAS.

To remain calm whilst working under pressure

Knowledge of PTS Systems

A flexible approach to work

There will be an initial 8 week training course covering 37.5 hours per week and you should be available to attend this.

What we can offer you;

Not only do we offer an excellent basic salary of £18,813 pro rata (£9.62 an hour) you will also receive the following unsocial hour’s allowance:

All time Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8pm and before 6am Time plus 37%.

All time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) Time plus 74%

*£16.73 an hour based on bottom of band 3 plus Sunday unsocial hours allowance at 74%.
