This is an exciting time to join the Bank at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, as it has recently become one of the first vertically-integrated health and care organisations in the country (ICO).

We are a highly successful organisation. In 2011 we won the Health Service Journal Acute Hospital of the Year Award and in both 2013 and 2014 we were named in the HSJ’s Top 100 Places to work. We are keen to expand our existing team of Bank Doctors which enables you to work when it suits you. There is flexibility for you to choose your own working pattern to suit you and your life style, based on service needs and staffing requirements of the hospital.

Specialties include Anaesthetics, Accident & Emergency, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Paediatrics to list but a few.

Being on our Bank you would get first pick of all shifts before they are offered to agencies and in return for your hard work, reliability and loyalty, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust will offer a range of staff benefits:

  • Competitive pay rates, with weekly pay
  • Assistance with clinical appraisal and revalidation support
  • Long and short term placements
