Bases:  Colworth Park, Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, Sandy Health Centre, Sandy, Bedfordshire

Hours: 30 hours per week

 This is a dual role with overall responsibility for the line management of a dental clinic and the dental team, as well as responsibility for reporting on all compliance information, data and evidence across Bedfordshire and epidemiology contracts in line with the Clinical Governance Work Programme as well as the

 This pivotal role will support Community Dental Services CIC (CDS) under our declaration to Care Quality Commission (CQC), BDA Quality Assurance Programme and Practice visits by NHS England.

 Clinical Governance responsibilities will include:

  • Collection of patient feedback results, recording of all clinical audits, recording of all risk assessments and accurately recording and evaluating incidents.
  • Co-ordination, development and review of CDS Bedfordshire guidelines and standing operating procedures.
  • Co-ordination of the clinical audit and patient survey programme.
  • Co-ordination and dissemination of Safety and Medical Device alerts in Bedfordshire.

 Senior Dental Nurse responsibilities will include:

  • Line managing dental nurses and reception teams including rostering, recruitment, training and development.
  • Appraisals, reviews and other supporting measure such as return to work interviews
  • The post holder will be expected to visit clinics to provide the necessary support; therefore, access to a car is essential.

A key element of this role will include collating, assessing and submitting evidence using MS Office software packages including Excel and Word.
