In 2019 the Trust implemented our EPR with Cerner. We also were among the UK’s first to take HSCN. These two changes give us a stable platform from which to take the next steps of our digital journey. The challenge is big enough that a monthly committee of the Board supports and challenges the CIO as we look to make sure that IT works for all in our care system.

You will be an established technical expert with strong leadership skills. The role is part of the executive group and is managed through the Chief Operating Officer. Five members of a senior management team in IT are complimented by a Chief Clinical Informatics Officer and subject matter clinical experts.

Everything is in place to succeed. We are looking now to confirm a long term leader for our digital vision, able to work with partner organisations and industry supply chain to put us at the forefront of NHS practice. You must have great team leadership skills and be to work effectively in a strong executive culture that requires results and expects accountability.
