This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a New Integrated Wellbeing Service

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced psychological wellbeing practitioner (PWP) to work as part of our Integrated Wellbeing Service, with a focus upon specialist weight management interventions.

Our aim is to improve population health in St Helens working with our partners to achieve the best outcomes for our service users.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we undergo a plan of transformation which aims to develop new and more integrated ways of working together and with our stakeholders. The successful applicant should have experience of working in a similar setting and be motivated to support the transition action plans for integration as part of their role.

The PWP will work as part of the adults and children’s specialist weight management service. You will provide low intensity interventions to patients which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to clients with mild to moderate mental health issues and related social needs. This includes face to face, telephone, within psychoeducational groups and using other forms of media. Innovation is at the heart of our work so a creative and forward-thinking approach is essential.

The post holder will work closely with the full team to ensure that their caseload of clients receive the best quality of care to support their health holistically. In return you will work with come to work with a dedicated, passionate bunch of people who want to make a difference to the communities they serve, supporting each other to achieve the best outcomes.

Successful candidates will have completed aPWP qualification with an IAPT accredited PWP Training Course or Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with relevant experiences and competences as required.

You will be expected to be able to travel to base and across the borough and work outside of the core hours including evenings and weekends in line with the service needs.
