Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serves a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.

We are now seeking to recruit a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Adult Community Mental Health Team based at the Hawthorne Centre, Coalville.

You will work closely with the members of the well-established multidisciplinary team of health professional – psychiatrists, specialist nurses, clinical psychologist, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, and administration staff.

We require enthusiastic, committed and motivated individuals to provide inspirational leadership to our medical workforce and take responsibility for clinical quality assurance and clinical standards with the service.

Every opportunity will be given to encourage personal initiatives, research and specialist interests. There are opportunities to teach undergraduate medical students. The post holder will be expected to work with autonomy to provide highly professional and specialist advice to colleagues to ensure high standards of direct care deliver, inclusive of supportive systems for professional revalidation and performance development of teams who are accountable for the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care.

Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners, who have or are eligible for, a CCT or an equivalent approved indicator of training and eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date.
