Medical Devices Trainer

Salary: NHS Band 7 + High Cost Area Supplement

Hours: 37.5hrs p/w, must be able to work Mon to Fri

Main Base: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, expected to work across all Trust Sites

(Salary depends on current banding, knowledge, skills and experience of successful candidate)

Do you have a background in using medical devices and training clinical staff?

Do you enjoy working in a healthcare environment with opportunities to interact with clinical staff, external companies and teach others on the correct and safe use of medical devices?

If so, applications are invited for the post of Medical Devices Trainer to support a progressive Medical Physics team across Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced trainer to join the friendly team. Applicants should have experience in the planning and delivery of medical device training with good understanding of a range of medical device operation and application. They must have experience in either clinical usage or haven been involved in the management of medical devices. They are expected to manage their own workload, be IT literate and possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Applicants must also have a relevant degree or equivalent level of knowledge/experience and be State Registered or be a member of a relevant professional body.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to work closely with the deputy head of department to provide strategic and operational management of medical devices training across the Trust. You will be a proactive and flexible professional who is able to bring about positive change through effective influence and negotiation. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and expertise in the use of medical devices.
