Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a world-renowned cardiac, thoracic and transplant hospital with an excellent track record in developing and delivering specialist services.

We are seeking enthusiastic colleagues to join our Consultant team and provide anaesthetic and critical care services at Royal Papworth Hospital, the UK’s leading specialist cardiothoracic hospital.

We have recently moved into our brand new, state-of-the-art hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and received an Outstanding rating from the CQC late last year. We now need new colleagues with the clinical skills, drive and commitment to ensure we maintain our leading-edge status.

You will possess a certificate of completion of training (CCT) or a certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or equivalent in the specialty of anaesthesia and/or intensive care medicine. You will have significant experience of adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care, including heart and lung transplantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Training in echocardiography is essential.
