We are in the exciting position of being able to expand our Consultant team at Darlington Memorial Hospital. We are looking for an excellent colleague to join the current team of paediatricians, sharing in the acute paediatric and neonatal cover, as well as a share of elective activity.

This is a traditional full-time consultant post (no middle grade shifts)
Our Trust has two acute paediatric departments which are both established training centres for undergraduate and postgraduate training with excellent training facilities, centred on the University Hospital of North Durham and the Darlington Memorial Hospital sites. These departments contribute to one of the largest integrated care providers in England, serving a population of around 600,000 people.

The successful candidate would be expected to:
• Deliver a share of acute paediatric and neonatal duties, joining the existing team
• Provide general paediatric and sub-specialty clinics
• Participate in governance and the broader training programme of the paediatric department
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives for paediatrics

Please note this position requires a Disclosure Barring Service check (DBS).
