Applications are invited for appointment to this Clinical Fellow post in Obstetric Medicine based at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust commencing from March 2020 for a period of 12 months full time. Training will be provided in all aspects of Obstetric Medicine (the in-patient and out-patient management of women with medical problems in pregnancy). This post will be particularly suitable for individuals who are considering a future Consultant post which might include sessions in Obstetric Medicine. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. A National Training Number is not available for this appointment.


The post is open to trainees from any Deanery who have satisfactorily completed two years of Core Medical Training or equivalent and have additionally completed at least 12 months of a ST3 or above Specialty Training Programme in a medical specialty. The post is also open to doctors wishing to undertake post-Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training/Certificate of Completion of Training Subspecialty Training.


All candidates should be eligible for registration with the General Medical Council. MRCP or equivalent is essential for entry to the programme. Where equivalent qualifications or experience are being offered, it is essential that the candidate provides written confirmation from the Royal College and attaches this to their application. Applicants who do not provide this confirmation will not be put forward for shortlisting.
