An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to re-develop the Dysphagia service that is provided on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and paediatric wards at Leighton Hospital. In order to follow guidelines provided by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Neonatal Networks, we are looking to provide an established service on to the wards that will ensure rapid access to speech and language therapy, training for staff on the wards and a key link between the acute and community settings. This is a unique opportunity to develop and shape a service and enhance provision.

In addition to the work on the wards, you would also hold a community caseload, and assist in the supervision of staff with dysphagia caseloads to further enhance their knowledge and skill base.
