The Wirral is easily accessible to major airports and has excellent transport links including motorway, train, bus or ferry and within easy reach to the major cities of Liverpool, Chester and Manchester as well as neighbouring North Wales.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cancer MDT Co-ordinator to join the Cancer Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking patients with suspected and diagnosed cancer to ensure a timely journey from referral to treatment whilst complying with waiting times targets and providing administrative support to cancer site specific multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.

You will also be required to support the Cancer Data Manager with clinical audit.

This is a very interesting and demanding role and the right candidate will be self-motivated and work to a consistently high standard. A willingness to learn new skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels will make the job an exciting and rewarding challenge.

The job will be based at Clatterbridge Hospital but will involve cross site working between Clatterbridge Hospital and Arrowe Park Hospital. The working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (8:30am-4:30pm) with half an hour lunch.

This position is being offered as a 12 months fixed term or secondment opportunity. Please note that any secondments must be discussed and agreed with your current line manager before applying for this position.
