Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is located in South East London, close to the A2 and with good public transport access. We have two Units - the Heathside Neurodisability Unit which provides for clients with complex neurodisability and the Thames Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit which focuses on clients with primary cognitive disorder and challenging behaviour.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with HCPC registration and at least 3 years’ experience working with adults with acquired neurological disorders in a rehabilitation setting. You must have specialist knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders related to acquired brain injury and have a drive to work in the heart of a multidisciplinary team. You will be able to deliver goal orientated therapy programmes, specialist outreach assessments and take on a Named Therapist role for some of your patients. The role also includes providing supervision to junior members of the team and taking students.

As part of a large specialist multidisciplinary team, we offer the perfect opportunity for joint working and goal setting, and in-service training across disciplines. As an experienced clinician, you will work in collaboration with the other Band 7s (OT, Physio) to support the AHP Leads in delivering a high-quality service. You will have scope to broaden your knowledge base and develop your leadership skills in service development, training, audit, research and project work.
