We provide a high quality range of acute care services and employ over 6,000 staff, who serve a population of approximately 400,000 people across Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Neston, North Wales and the wider North West footprint.

We have approximately 855 beds trust-wide and our financial turnover is in excess of £337m.

The Wirral is easily accessible to major airports and has excellent transport links including motorway, train, bus or ferry and within easy reach to the major cities of Liverpool, Chester and Manchester as well as neighbouring North Wales.

As part of the Medical Staffing Office, the successful applicant will be a pro-active team player with good organisational and communication skills.

The postholder will assist the division’s Medical Staffing Coordinator and Assistant Coordinators in the management and coordination of junior medical staff including: distributing weekly rotas; assisting in EWTD monitoring; participating in the induction of new medical staff; updating and maintaining the division’s database and filing systems, and general admin duties; liaising with clinics and other departments to ensure the smooth and timely communication of leave; and dealing with telephone enquiries and passing on to the relevant person.

Applicants should have a good general standard of education and have relevant experience of working in a hospital environment. They should be able to demonstrate good IT, office and admin skills and be fully conversant in MS Office. An understanding of doctors’ rotas and EWTD is desirable, although full training would be given. Similarly, a working knowledge of the hospital’s CERNER Millennium system would be a distinct advantage, although full training would be provided if required.
