We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to undertake the role of Clinic Co-ordinator. The main duties of the role are:

  • Cancel clinics once the clinic cancellation forms have been validated.
  • Reinstate clinics, if requested, which have been previously cancelled
  • Request waiting list initiative clinics following confirmation from the Workload Co-ordinator or Service Manager
  • Update job plans for the Locum Consultants once additional clinics have been confirmed.
  • Proactively manage clinic bookings and appointments.
  • Liaise with OPD appointments staff

Applicants should have effective communication skills and be flexible in their approach with a willingness to work as part of a team but also be able to use their own initiative.

Ideally you will have some NHS experience and possess good IT skills and knowledge of PCS. The successful candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills as you will be working directly with the public.

A knowledge of RTT would also be desirable, as the role will invole supporting the Division to validate/update patient’s pathways.

Please note that this is an extremely busy role.

Good people and clerical skills are essential to this post and an applicant would have to display good interpersonal skills at interview.
