SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN DERMATOLOGY

 

Applications are invited for a Substantive Specialty in the department of Dermatology at this hospital. This is a replacement post, the post has helped to increase the service demands and also to provide job satisfaction in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The purpose built Department of Dermatology was opened in December 2002. The Department is an integrated outpatient, day patient, phototherapy unit with specialist dermatology nursing staff.

The post is for 10 sessions per week with no on-call responsibilities.

Applicants should be fully registered practitioners with at least three years regular hospital service at Senior House Officer or a higher grade in General Medicine and allied specialties. MRCP 1 is essential to this post; full MRCP desirable.

The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) provides medical services for a population of approximately 230,000 living in South East Norfolk and North East Suffolk, plus a large number of visitors to the coast and Broads National Park during the summer months. In addition, it provides approximately a third of the secondary care teaching for the new UEA Medical School. The Trust has foundation status and is highly regarded within the region.

The Hospital is situated in a mainly rural area in one of the most open, picturesque, safe and unspoilt parts of the country, offering a range of inexpensive properties, good schools, easy access to the coast and an abundance of outdoor, sporting and recreational activities.
