This is a wonderful opportunity to join a nationally regarded Paediatric Sleep Service which is expanding and developing to provide first class sleep diagnostic services to children from across the region.

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiologist with experience in sleep and/or respiratory physiology or neurophysiology. You would be responsible for the setup, monitoring and analysis of a range of sleep studies including Full polysomnography, Cardiorespiratory polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, Oximetry and Actigraphy, providing specialist interpretation of the home and inpatient sleep study results for the sleep and respiratory clinicians You will work on a rolling rota which includes day, evening and overnight shifts. You would also be responsible for supervising associate diagnostic practitioners who support the service delivering sleep studies overnight and senior assistant technical officers during the day. You will also attend multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), participate in audits, help develop policies and protocols, download and upload sleep study results to the online hospital systems, be involved with equipment and stock maintenance and general housekeeping along with other members of the team.

Experience recording and analysing paediatric sleep studies, including EEG interpretation, would be very beneficial, although comprehensive training and support will be provided.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
