Urgent and Emergency Care

Ward A2

Band 5 Staff Nurse

 

Ward A2 is looking to appoint forward thinking, dynamic, resilient Band 5 registered nurses to join our team. We are a short stay acute medical ward that takes admissions from the Acute Medical Unit and Accident & Emergency with a specialist interest in diabetes and endocrine. We work as part of the acute floor within the Urgent and Emergency Care Business Unit.

We do experience admissions with higher acuity within the unit therefore it is essential that the successful candidate can be professional, diplomatic and caring, as you will be challenged with the varied demands of the unit, which at times can be unpredictable. You must have the ability to prioritise your working day under pressure, whilst ensuring the values and behaviors of the trust are upheld.

Urgent and Emergency Care has bespoke learning opportunities, with in house teaching. You will be given support to develop your leadership and management skills, and for further development of clinical skills.

A2 is a challenging but highly rewarding ward to work on. We have a supportive team with extensive senior nurse support and clinical ward manager.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy challenging environment. You will also possess excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
