Biomedical Scientist Band 6 Vacancy Microbiology Macclesfield DGH (Fixed Term)

There is a requirement for a Biomedical Scientist to cover maternity leave at the combined Microbiology Department for Leighton and Macclesfield Hospitals. The post will be based at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

State registered Biomedical Scientist are required to undertake interpretative work of the department. The combined department will process over 300,000 specimens a year.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, well motivated, possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and be committed to the provision of a high quality laboratory service.

The successful applicant will be expected to work on weekends and Bank Holidays as part of a rota. There would be opportunity to join an on call rota. Normal weekday working time include work up until 8pm on a rota.
