The Abingdon Surgery in Oxfordshire is recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to take on a maternity relief position to cover one of our GP partners. The surgery offers a friendly and supportive working environment and the partners and staff are committed to driving continuous improvement to deliver sustained excellence in all areas.

The vacancy is available from May 2020 and ideally would cover six sessions across a Monday, Tuesday and Friday. However, these are open for discussion and could be adjusted for the right candidate.

Our practice clinical team currently consists of 9 GP partners, 1 clinical pharmacist, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 Practice Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants. We have a large and growing reception and admin team who review and action clinical correspondence and assist the GPs in managing their workload. Our Home Visits are predominantly carried out by a paramedic team working within our Federation. We have an expanding list size with just over 17,200 patients currently registered at our training practice. We were rated ‘Good’ by CQC, consistently deliver 100% of QoF targets and are part of a two GP practice PCN and a local six practice federation. Our patients gave us a 94% satisfaction rating in the 2019 nationwide GP survey, comfortably the best in the local area. We use EMIS web and Docman 10.
