The Role


Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care 6 month fixed term post.

The post is based wholly at Homerton University Hospital in Hackney.

Dynamic, forward thinking and wholly committed to keeping the diverse community of Hackney in the best of health, Homerton is a University Foundation Trust close to Central London. On this single site, we have over 270 medical staff working across a broad range of specialties and impressive Facilities including a regional Neuro Rehabilitation Centre.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has 10 physical beds which flexibly provide Level 3 and 2 support. The intensive care team provide input into all other areas of the hospital and relationships with referring teams are excellent. We are supported by a dynamic and expanding Critical Care Outreach Service. It is an innovative unit, with a strong sense of team working and a high regard for constant quality improvement wherever possible. We are currently in the process of gaining approval for expansion and updating of the ICU.

The ICU has been inspected and approved for training in Intensive Care Medicine by the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Intensive Care Medicine at Intermediate & Advanced Levels.

The Homerton University Hospital is one campus for St Bartholomew’s and Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary’s and Westfield College, University of London. Medical students attend the hospital in their clinical years for teaching in peri-operative medicine and resuscitation, anaesthesia and intensive care.
