WORKING TO A 6 WEEK ROTA

FIXED TERM 6 MONTH

 

Based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, an opportunity has arisen for 2 Administration Officers to work within the Emergency Care Centre covering Maternity; this fantastic centre is treating patients at one of the most innovative units in the country.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the team and provide a first class comprehensive administrative and reception service to both patients and clinicians alike. The role will involve working between three separate areas within the Emergency Care Centre; A&E Reception, Emergency Assessment Unit and the Short Stay Unit/Ward 1. The main duties will involve providing front line reception cover, administrative duties and booking appointments. An excellent telephone manner is necessary when dealing with queries as well as the ability to cope working in a sometimes distressing environment.

Candidates should have experience of working in a busy customer care environment and have worked with the general public; they must also be flexible to support the needs of the service. Computer literate with the ability to display excellent communication skills is also key to this role, whilst understanding the importance of patient confidentiality and respecting both patients & staff alike.

Anyone applying for a position which involves a regulated activity will require a DBS.
