DIVISION Clinical Support and Screening Services

Radiology

BAND 5

37.5 HOURS PER WEEK/ PERMANENT

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, diligent radiographer to join the friendly, dedicated team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. The Radiology department is committed to providing the highest quality service to all its users and has implemented seven day working across its services to meet the Government’s vision for the NHS. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how Radiology delivers these services in modern, well equipped surroundings. We have recently installed four new plain film x-ray rooms, making the department fully digital.

You will support the delivery of a high quality diagnostic service in the Emergency Care Centre and across a number of modalities including plain imaging, theatre and portables. Radiology services are also provided at our satellite site at Blaydon.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with strong interpersonal skills to further develop their experience within an additional clinical area. The post holder will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure they can work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure Radiology continues to provide a high quality service to all its users.

A flexible and forward thinking approach is needed to ensure Radiology meets the challenges of the constantly developing healthcare environment, with a focus on 7 day working and working towards the Quality Services in Imaging Acreditation.
