Divisional Quality Lead – Women and Children’s Division


An exciting, opportunity has arisen for a clinical practitioner who has a current live NMC registration to join our friendly and supportive Divisional Quality Team. We are seeking a Band 7 registered nurse or midwife who will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the Divisional quality agenda, working towards standardisation of guidelines, and audits, the implementation of national documents and working towards the achievement of being an ‘outstanding’ Division in the CQC inspection ratings.


The post holder will work in collaboration with the Head of Midwifery/Head of Nursing for Paediatrics and Gynaecology, Information Governance Midwife, Workforce Development Lead and the multidisciplinary team within the Women and Children’s Division.


You will be a role model for the delivery of a high standard of quality care and set inspiring standards to meet the needs of an evolving service provided within the Women and Children’s Division. You will contribute to guidelines, audit and service improvement projects.


We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to use your own initiative. You should have a proven track record of disseminating your knowledge and skills and be a role model to all staff. This is an opportunity to work within a successful team which values innovators and motivators.


The role will bring new and interesting challenges on a daily basis and will require motivation and dedication. In order to meet this, you will need to have the ability to effectively prioritise workloads, manage conflicting demands, have proven time management skills, good IT skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

If you are a practitioner currently on the NMC register and possess the following experience, this may be the position for you;

  • Assisting with the ratification process of polices, clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • Assisting with the audit programme, management and presentation
  • Managing quality standards and the implementation of national documents
  • Implementation of high level inspections such as the ‘Care Quality Commissions Key Lines of Enquiries’, quality assurance checks and quality and safety reviews
