This is a North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust appointment to be based at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. Creating a unique opportunity to work in a semi-rural Emergency Department and explore an interest in a clinical area of Pre-hospital Medicine.

The Lake District offers unrivalled opportunities for hill walking, climbing, mountain biking and water sports.

You should have completed F2 year or equivalent, have 4 months EM experience, ALS (ATLS) and be able to work on a junior doctor level rota. You will have protected time to develop experience and your portfolio in your special area of interest. I

f this is Pre Hospital Care, for the appropriate individual there may be a unique opportunity to have scheduled time with the North West Ambulance Service, Search and Rescue, local Air Ambulance Network, BASICS scheme, Mountain Rescue and Military experience. You will have time to prepare research and audits. There will be funding available for relevant Pre Hospital Courses.
