The Trust is looking to appoint several Bank Chaplains to join our chaplaincy team at both the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which is developing in alignment with best practice to support the current needs of our patients, their carers, and our staff.

Bank Chaplains contribute towards an agreed rota for occasional shifts and on-call duties, and will be expected to attend team meetings which take place on a quarterly basis.

Applications are welcome from ministers of any denomination and applicants must be willing to provide spiritual and pastoral care to people of all faiths and none, within a hospital or community environment as requested.

Bank Chaplains will have recognised authority within their own denomination or faith group and be in good standing within their own faith community.

Applicants need to be flexible of difference, approachable, compassionate and sensitive.

When on call, applicants will be required to meet an initial response to call outs within 60 minutes.
