Isabel Hospice
Welwy Garden City, Herts
Circa £45,000 & NHS pension/Leave existing members

We are seeking an experienced and talented manager to lead and develop our Community and Hospice @ Home Teams.

Isabel Hospice is a highly respected local charity with deep roots in the communities we have served for over 35 years. Providing a wide range of care and support to people with life limiting illnesses and their families, we have cared for 1,555 patients across all of our services during the last year alone.

Our services are leading edge; enabling people to access the support and care they need to live well for as long as possible and die with dignity in the place of their choice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of specialist palliative care are maintained by the collective teams and that we continue to champion and promote improvement in the patient experience. You will also implement action plans for new service initiatives to meet the Hospice Strategy, ensuring collaborative integrated care both within the hospice and with partnership providers. Through your professional leadership you will ensure that staff are fully supported in their work, challenging poor process and performance and encouraging and supporting staff through changes required to ensure that excellent client focused care is delivered. Developing partnerships with other organisations and professional networks to promote the development and widening access to our services will also be required.

To apply, you should be a Level 1 registered nurse with previous specialist palliative care or oncology experience. You should hold a palliative care/oncology qualification and a relevant degree. You will need to be a strong leader, with significant experience in managing others and delivering change and able to support a multi professional team with diverse needs. Car driver and access to your own car essential.
