LED F2 in Respiratory Medicine – fixed term contract

Applications are invited for a Locally Employed Doctor (LED) an F2 in Respiratory Medicine, on fixed term contract until 1 April 2020 with a view to possible further extension after this date. This is to cover a junior doctor vacancy on our existing rota in Respiratory Medicine under the guidance of the lead consultant; the suitable applicant will be an active member of the team.

The purpose of the post is to care for patients on the inpatient wards, under the guidance of the senior medical team. The main duties will be to follow the management plans written in the medical records from the Consultant ward round, daily review of the patients on the ward and undertake any routine tasks as requested by the senior team. In addition completion of accurate discharge summaries will be required to inform primary care colleagues of the outcome of their patients inpatient stay.

The post is offered on a fixed term; full time or job share basis, the job plans being intended for full time appointments with an opportunity to modify this if the posts are offered on any other basis.

The successful applicant must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a Licence to Practise.
