St Raphael's Hospice (SRH) has been well established in Merton and Sutton for many years. It is now entering a new, exciting phase, becoming an independent. stand-alone charity, in the next few months. We are working to deliver a high quality patient focused service, within our resources and capacity.

The Hospice provides a range of specialist palliative care services to a population of just over 400,000. A dedicated staff of 135 is supported by over 800 volunteers, based at the Hospice site and working across 11 retail sites around the boroughs.

We are recruiting to a 1.0WTE and two 0.6WTE posts over the coming months. The post-holders will be supported by our team of specialty doctors, NTN Specialty Trainee (ST) and GPVTS rotational post. This expanded medical team will allow us to enhance our responsive and flexible service delivery.

This post is 1.0WTE (0.8 DCC, 0.2WTE SPA), with 1:4 non-resident 2nd on-call. The post-holder will be based primarily at SRH and will include 1.0PA at St Helier Hospital (Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust) as part of their highly regarded palliative care team. It is a requirement of your employment that you are prepared to work at any additional or different locations to support the demands of our service.
The post (including on-call) is in line with NHS Terms and Conditions*.

The post holder will be employed by SRH, however we are at an advanced stage of negotiations with Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, with the prospect of this becoming a Trust-held contract.
