We are seeking an experienced senior manager to support the director of transformation in driving the strategic development and delivery of ‘whole system’ transformation programmes and plans to optimise and transform services across the whole patient pathway, aligning delivery of priorities at trust, local borough and sector level in line with the NHS Long Term Plan.


This supports our vision of providing care and services that we and our families would want to use and enabling people to stay healthy and active, preventing them from spending unnecessary time in hospital.


As part of the directorate leadership team, the role will provide senior management to the directorate teams - transformation, business development and the programme management office (PMO) - and ensure effective service delivery and performance across all functions. This will be a key part of ensuring strong matrix working across the portfolio of programmes and projects and requires working closely with senior operational and corporate colleagues to ensure that change is delivered.


In addition, the role will lead the development and delivery of the organisational strategy for commercial and business development.


What we are looking for:


• An exceptional individual with a proven track record of transforming service delivery across complex organisations/systems and leading high performing teams.

• Experience of design and successful delivery of major transformation programmes.

• In depth professional knowledge of service redesign, financial management, performance management, programme management, organisational development, business development.

• Strong senior leadership and management skills with the ability to establish and maintain credibility to influence and develop relationships with staff, key partners and stakeholders.

• Advanced verbal and presentation skills with proven ability to communicate highly complex information sensitively and succinctly in challenging environments.
