Local Care Nurse

Job Reference: 846-09018-CG

Employer:
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust
Department:
Clinical
Location:
Coxheath, Maidstone
Salary:
£30,401 - £37,267 pro rata per annum

The NHS is changing. More emphasis on community-based care means there’s never been a better time to join us.

The CQC has rated us ‘outstanding’ and says that our colleagues feel supported, valued and respected, with high levels of staff and patient satisfaction.

Our vision is to deliver excellent local services which improve the health of our communities. To do this we need outstanding people who share our values (CARE). CARE stands for:

  • Compassionate
  • Aspirational
  • Responsive
  • Excellent

Could you give better care to patients if you had more time and freedom to do things a DIFFERENT way?

Do you believe in care that treats the whole person, not just the condition?

Join us on a journey to bring an innovative nurse-led model - that has already revolutionized community care in the Netherlands - Coxheath Maidstone

Following a successful pilot in west Kent, we’re now looking for brilliant people who think a bit differently - to be part of a nurse-led NHS team that is self-managing, can share responsibility and take decisions together.

You’ll need to be bold, brave, creative, and willing to take responsibility.

In return we promise to cut the red tape, and give you the space you need to do things a different way. We’ll help you to develop your skills, and support your continued professional development as a valued colleague in one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK.

We are looking for candidates already holding the specialist practitioner District Nursing qualification, as staff are recruited for their experience and clinical skills, rather than the traditional Team Leader posts.

Candidates without the qualification will also be considered in acting post, as KCHFT is keen to support nurses with their development within the specialist community nursing teams.

These are full time posts, however part time will be considered.

Post vacancy site is Coxheath at Maidstone

Interviews will be held on 13th February 2020
