The successful applicant will join a team of 4 stroke consultants, supported by an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team of nurses and AHPs delivering hyperacute and acute stroke care along with inpatient rehabilitation. TIA assessment including carotid imaging is provided 7 days a week and supported by our team of Band 6 stroke specialist nurses.

A dynamic Early Supported Discharge team enables us to discharge 40% of our new admissions within 72h. The stroke unit has a track record of innovative service improvements, including a popular telephone follow up service for TIA patients and a project to increase the psychology skills of the stroke therapy team. We are also actively involved in stroke research.
