We are a provider for Mental health, intellectual disability and specialist mental health services, community physical health for adults and children, prison health and our low, medium and high secure hospitals including Rampton Hospital.

This post welcomes applications from both Registered Mental Health Nurses & Registered Learning Disability Nurses.

Working at Morton Hall IRC you will be part of a high quality and motivated team who provide integrated healthcare to 392 residents. You will have the opportunity to help shape and determine the future of healthcare to this patient population.

The Residents at Morton Hall are at various stages of their Immigration journey, some have exhausted all avenues and are waiting for removal from the country, approximately 40-50% of the population are time served offenders transferring directly from the prison estate and some are seeking asylum who may be granted bail and released back into the community whilst their appeals are being processed.

Working alongside the Clinical Matrons for Mental Health & Physical Care and the wider healthcare team you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best care possible to our patients at Morton Hall IRC. The mental health team comprises of mental health nurses, Step 2 and Step 3 IAPT provision, psychology and psychiatrist provision.

The team provides a stepped care approach to the delivery of mental healthcare and covers all mental disorders including anxiety and depressive disorders, major mental illness, Personality Disorder and neurodevelopmental disorders. We are fully adherent to the CPA guidelines and have an over view of all psychological and pharmacological aspects of care for all patients from triage to recovery. The team provides 1:1 care and case management.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare is one of the country’s leading mental health and learning disability service providers, employing over 6000 staff to provide these services over more than 100 sites. The Offender health directorate provides physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services to a prisoners and residents across six establishments.

Morton Hall is an Immigration Removal Centre located near Swinderby, Lincolnshire. Nottinghamshire Healthcare provides integrated healthcare services to Adult males.

The healthcare department is situated within the main centre which allows the Healthcare team direct access to patients.

At Morton Hall we provide care to residents that are equivalent to that in the community.

You will be responsible for providing high quality interventions and care, promoting best practice and assist in developing the mental health services to enhance quality and improve the patient experience.

You should be enthusiastic, motivated and patient focused.

The ability to advocate for your patients in sometimes challenging situations with external agencies whom have minimal understanding of Mental Health is essential

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
