Band 6 - Nurse Specialist

12 month secondment to cover maternity leave.

An exciting opportunity hsa arisen for a 12 month secondment with the Paediatric Cardiac Nurse Specialist Team based at Leeds Children's Hospital. The job holder will be responsible for supporting patients with cardiac conditions and their family within various settings - Outpatients (Surgical & Cardiology), Ward L51, and regional outreach clinics across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, who possesses good communication and time management skills. Previous experience of working within Paediatric Cardiology is essential.

If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.

LTHT will request electronic Factual Employment References from your previous employers. These references will be requested before you are issued with an unconditional offer of employment letter.
