We have an exciting and challenging role within Informatics supporting the UHS Digital Strategy digitising Patient Health Records.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the productivity of the scanning service this will involve working closely within the Health Records Service personnel, Service users, Clinical teams, Administrative teams and IT professionals across the organisation


The Health Record Service is based at the Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Maternity Hospital. The service consists of 26 staff who work shifts either 8-4 and 12-8 Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday in 4 working 9- 1pm The teams daily throughput normally averages 1600 files per day through 4 different processes in the Health Record Service for inpatient episodes

Maintain the productivity targets.
Staff management.
Reduce the paper within the organisation and support the staff to deliver a quality service Influencing, negotiating and embracing change effectively.
To have current knowledge of national health record legislation.
Excellent administration knowledge and skill to oversee all aspects of the Health Records Service


We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a proven track record of managing a service delivery environment within a health care setting, strong staff management with drive and innovation for supporting a digital agenda; if this is you we would like to hear from you.
